A French pastel artist, Anne Courtine has been painting with dry pastels since 2005. These are sticks of very compact pigments, varying in softness. She applies these pigments in successive layers and strokes onto special paper that ‘holds’ the pastel. She also paints with watercolours, acrylics, inks, etc.
Breton heritage is the source of her international renown. She paints other more common subjects such as marbles, flowers and fruit. She regularly gives classes in her studio, as well as in Péaule and for associations that request her services.
