Josselin Castle has been the residence of the Rohan family for over ten centuries and offers visitors a real journey through time with its imposing medieval towers overlooking the river Oust, its sculpted granite facade built during the Renaissance and its interiors entirely restored in the 19th century.
For garden lovers, the estate includes a rose garden with more than forty varieties, an English-style park that extends at the foot of the ramparts and a French-style garden created at the beginning of the 20th century by the landscape gardener Achille Duchêne.
In the former stables of the Castle, the Doll and Toy Museum is the setting for the famous collection of Duchess Herminie de Rohan. The permanent exhibition is completed each year by a thematic exhibition. About 600 dolls are presented with their accessories, as well as numerous games and toys.
