The La Mennais museum area presents visitors with some of the congregation's treasures through a museum dedicated to Jean-Marie de La Mennais and a natural science museum. The former retraces the life of the figure and presents his works, his personal effects and, in particular, his precious library! You can also discover the Congregation's current presence in the world of education. Finish your visit in the renovated chapel, which houses the tomb of Jean-Marie de La Mennais.
The Natural Science Museum takes visitors on an enriching journey through time and around the world, with collections of insects, birds' nests, rocks, fossils, prehistoric tools, etc.
Exceptional opening times for groups or individuals by prior arrangement.
Free admission

NEW: To mark the bicentenary of their arrival in Ploërmel, the La Mennais brothers are offering a new exhibition entitled "Secrets of the Mother House". It shows how, in Ploërmel, the brothers were trained and prepared to travel the world to educate and evangelise. Free
The exhibition is open daily from 2.30pm to 5pm. It will be on display for one year, until September 2025.
