Remarkable for its size (nearly 10 metres in circumference), this pedunculate oak is the most spectacular of the large trees in the Forest of Brocéliande. The ancestor has been hollow for centuries.
It is said to be 1,000 years old...
Its name comes from Abbé Guillotin, a refractory priest who, at the end of the 18th century, is said to have found refuge within it.
