The Kerviolo stables offer equestrian tourism with organised treks in the Forest of Brocéliande from April to the end of July for intermediate to advanced riders. Set off on a day trip or weekend trek to discover the legendary sites of Brocéliande. These horseback rides are organised according to the schedule below or à la carte according to your preferences. Here is a summary of a typical weekend:
Day 1: between 4 and 5 hours on horseback
Welcome drink at 8:30 a.m.
9 a.m.: choose and prepare your horses. Departure between 9:30 and 10 a.m. The ride begins with a river crossing to reach the Landes and the Breton countryside.
We gradually enter the forest between red rocks and deciduous trees.
First gallop on a wide, safe path in the forest before the Château de Trécesson.
Seated lunch break.
The afternoon begins with a stop in front of Trécesson Castle and its moat. You will hear stories and legends mixing the living and the spirits.
We continue the afternoon with a visit to the Giant's Tomb and the Saint-Lucas Cross, then wind our way along the stream at the top of the Val Sans Retour.
Arrival at the campsite at 4.30/5pm.
We unsaddle the horses.
Settle into the gîte, shower, aperitif.
Dinner of galettes and Breton crêpes.
Followed by a digestive stroll through the Val Sans Retour with the Arbre d'Or, the Miroir aux Fées and the Rocher des faux amants.
Overnight stay in a dormitory at Tréhorenteuc.
Day 2: 2 to 5 hours on horseback
We have breakfast at the inn.
We prepare the horses for departure before 10 a.m.
We pass by the Church of the Holy Grail in the morning to reach the heights of the Forest of Brocéliande and its moors in the direction of the Barenton Fountain.
We take a short break to recount the legends of this fountain and then head to the Jardin aux Moines for lunch, where we hear the legend of the cursed hunter 👻.
We set off again, crossing the Douglas forests to reach the stables, passing several lakes and streams along the way.
We will go for several gallops during the day, the last of which will be on a large grassy strip along a river before crossing it.
We will be back at the stables around 5pm.
We will take care of the horses and bring them back to the field before enjoying a farewell drink.
