It was here that, on 18 June 1944, 2,000 resistance fighters led by 150 paratroopers from the Free French Forces and supported by the local population fought against the German occupiers. This battle was followed by terrible reprisals that left a lasting mark on the collective memory.
Located on the very site of the fighting, the Museum of the Breton Resistance invites you to discover, in a 1,000 m² exhibition space, the daily life of the Bretons under occupation and their involvement in the Shadow Army until the fighting for liberation. A historical and educational visit for the whole family, raising awareness of the ‘duty to remember’...
Recognised as a ‘Musée de France’, the recently renovated Museum of the Resistance in Brittany promises an educational and moving visit to the heart of history.
