    This vast 18th-century château, designed and built by architect Olivier Delourme for the Coëtlogon family, is located near the Forest of Brocéliande. The château and its grounds, covering more than 100 hectares, are listed as a Historic Monument. You will be welcomed and guided through the heart of a family home. The guided tour of the interiors gives you an insight into life in the 18th century. Discover the grand entrance hall, the kitchens and the main suite of furnished salons. In this exceptional setting, a thousand unusual objects will take you back in time.

    With its terraces and perspectives, the park is a fine example of 18th-century garden design and provides a natural setting for the château. Come and stroll, picnic, admire the remarkable trees and satisfy your curiosity in the quercetum (a conservatory of over 50 species of oak). Here, nature reigns supreme. Relax and listen to the birds singing. The Loyat area is home to 72 species! See if you can spot the jay, the great spotted woodpecker, the white wagtail and more.

    Loyat Castle provides picnic tables for your use. Take the time to enjoy lunch on the castle lawns, sheltered by tall trees. Enjoy traditional wooden outdoor games with your children, which we provide for your use. Bookings on the castle website: · www.chateau-loyat.com

    Guided tour of the château and self-guided tour of the grounds: Adults 10€, 5€ for 7 to 14 year olds, free for under 7. Several slots available each day the château is open.

    Free admission to the park: Adults 4€, 2€ for children aged 8 to 14, free for children under 7

    2025 opening dates: Open from 1 May to 30 September on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Also open from 15 June to 15 September from Tuesday to Friday. From 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm. Closed from 29 July to Friday 8 August inclusive.

    Botanical walks:
    The Château de Loyat enjoys a preserved natural environment. This year, in partnership with Marie Dewynter, a naturopath trained at the Hildegarde de Bingen school, the château is organising bi-monthly botanical walks in the park.

    Les Estivales:
    And don't miss the fourth edition of Les Estivales du Château de Loyat from 18 to 20 July, an unmissable musical event in the heart of summer. Three classical concerts by internationally renowned performers in the grand hall of the Château de Loyat and a free musical garden party, with a picnic and refreshments, a musical walk in the park featuring several styles of music, to enjoy a moment of musical discovery and relaxation with family or friends in the beautiful gardens of the Château de Loyat.
