An immersive exhibition preview in the heart of Brocéliande

Known for his haunting voice, Denez Prigent reveals here a more intimate facet of his work: drawing.

Drawn in black and white with a biro, his works are born of a spontaneous gesture, with no colour added to preserve the creative impetus. Spheres, crosses, moons, stars and repeated motifs make up a dreamlike, hypnotic universe. Each drawing seems to emerge from the artist’s subconscious, inviting us to plunge deep inside, where Brittany is revealed in a whole new light.

Two venues, two complementary experiences

The exhibition unfolds in two stages to enhance your discovery:

• At Brocéliande, la Porte des Secrets, an initial selection of works welcomes you to an intimate space, ideal for contemplation.

• From 2 April, a more immersive scenography will be on show at Paimpont Abbey, offering a new encounter with the artist’s world.

These two stages form a complementary journey, designed to deepen the bond between the artist and the public.

Denez Prigent, an artist between tradition and creation

A key figure on the Breton and international scene, Denez Prigent is renowned for his interpretations of traditional songs in the Breton language, the gwerz. Heir to a culture passed down from childhood, he draws on ancient legends and stories as a profound source of inspiration.

Drawing has become a refuge for him, a space for intimate expression. Through his work, he now shares a more personal part of his universe, imbued with spirituality, memory and emotion.
