Paimpont lights up for the festive season…

It’s a feast for the eyes! Discover the new projection of the 11th edition of “Rendez-vous avec la Lune”, an original creation projected onto the façade of Paimpont Abbey. This light show is presented by Spectaculaires, allumeurs d’images, based on an original tale imagined by Linda Lopez.

Every night… there’s this woman scratching at the earth with her fingers, right there by the lake. What is she looking for? She scratches and scratches, and every night the Moon is there to watch… One evening, the Moon drops small pieces of herself onto the waters of the lake, and she becomes a boat. A boat for Mémère’s first voyage…

• From Friday 19 December to Sunday 04 January,
• Visible from 6pm, then every half-hour until 8pm each evening. Sessions at: 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm & 7.30pm,
• A free outdoor show on the esplanade of Paimpont Abbey, open to all.

As the Abbey lights up, the chalets set up to welcome visitors in a warm and friendly Christmas atmosphere!

The chalets run by local associations, set up on the esplanade of Paimpont Abbey, will be selling mulled wine, hot apple juice and snacks.

Just before the screening, take off on an enchanting storytelling tour…

Before night falls, follow the voice of the guide-storyteller for a memorable journey between heaven and earth. From stories to tales, the Moon is revealed in a different light: the companion of dreams, the muse of young and old, the watchwoman of the Brocéliande nights. An interlude to share with the whole family, before or after “Les Rendez-vous avec la Lune”!

Denez Prigent “A l’Encre des Légendes” exhibition

Denez Prigent is a well-known artist on the Breton scene. For over thirty years, he has been exploring the links between traditional song, poetry and contemporary creation. An author, composer and performer, he is now revealing a new facet of his talent as an illustrator. He has chosen Paimpont as the venue for his first public showing of this previously unpublished part of his work: a singular, spellbinding graphic universe that invites visitors into imaginary, almost interstellar worlds.

An exhibition that invites you to journey into this suspended space where drawing becomes speech, and ink the living memory of legends.

The artist will be signing his work on Sunday 28 December from 2pm, in the exhibition hall at Brocéliande, la Porte des Secrets, so you can discover, listen to and share in the world of this multi-talented artist.
