The modest-looking church of Tréhorenteuc, nestled in the heart of the small village that provides access to the Val sans Retour, gives visitors new insights into the Christian world and Celtic culture.
In 1942, Abbé Gillard was appointed rector of Tréhorenteuc and, to restore spiritual life to his parish, he decided to restore the church, turning it into a place of art, beauty and intellectual reflection. Until 1962, and at the cost of many sacrifices, the abbot was the soul of the village.
‘The door is inside’
