Description

The modest-looking church of Tréhorenteuc, nestled in the heart of the small village that provides access to the Val sans Retour, gives visitors new insights into the Christian world and Celtic culture. In 1942, Abbé Gillard was appointed rector of Tréhorenteuc and, to restore spiritual life to his parish, he decided to restore the church, turning it into a place of art, beauty and intellectual reflection. Until 1962, and at the cost of many sacrifices, the abbot was the soul of the village. ‘The door is inside’ This enigmatic phrase welcomes you before you enter the church. Inside, nothing is left to chance; everything is symbolic, everything is a question. Open every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., subject to religious ceremonies. Self-guided or guided tours. Please note: for group visits, please book a time slot by calling 02 97 22 36 43.
