Description

The Notre-Dame du Roncier fountain, formerly known as the ‘Fontaine d'Aiguillon’, is located at the entrance to the Bois d'Amour. The fountain and the polychrome wooden statue of the Virgin and Child bear the date 1675, although the place of worship is certainly older. Every 8 September, the "Pardon de Notre-Dame du Roncier" attracts many worshippers to this fountain. Pilgrims make their way there in procession through the town. The first accounts of numerous miraculous healings were recorded in the 17th century.
