The Val sans Retour, whose entrance is located in Tréhorenteuc, is one of the most beautiful parts of the Forest of Brocéliande, a legendary place with an enchanting setting that is conducive to fairy-tale dreams...
Enter this domain where Morgan le Fay, King Arthur's half-sister, imprisoned unfaithful men, and where only Lancelot du Lac, faithful to Guinevere, was able to break the spell and free the imprisoned knights.
Discover the Golden Tree, a work of art erected by François Davin in 1991 following a terrible fire the previous year.
This tree, carved and then covered with real gold leaf, symbolizes the rebirth of the forest, but also its fragile and precious nature.
Enjoy the Miroir aux Fées pond and the bottom of the valley: in the past, there were four ponds in the Val sans Retour. Until 1930, they fed the Moulin de la Vallée mill, the ruins of which can still be seen below the Golden Tree. The name Miroir aux Fées comes from a legend that tells of seven fairies, seven sisters, who once lived there and loved to watch their reflections in the water...
Finish with the magnificent panorama of the ridges!
