Séverine Pineaux

This summer’s new exhibition, ‘Dryad’, by Séverine Pineaux A free exhibition to enjoy all summer long

From 10 July to 13 September 2026, make the most of your visit to Brocéliande, the Gateway to Secrets, to discover ‘Dryad’, the new exhibition by the painter, author and illustrator Séverine Pineaux.

Admission is free, and this exhibition brings together around twenty paintings and illustrations that invite you to immerse yourself in a world where nature, legends and the imagination come together.

A journey to the heart of a reimagined world

In *Dryad*, Séverine Pineaux imagines a future in which humanity has disappeared. A gigantic tree now covers the Earth and seeks to piece together the world’s memory from the traces left behind by past civilisations.

To assist it in this quest, dryads — creatures that are half-human, half-plant, inspired by Greek mythology — explore the ruins of the ancient world in search of forgotten memories.

Through her works, the artist celebrates the power of life, the passing on of knowledge, and the role of the feminine in the balance of nature. A sensitive, poetic and mysterious world that will appeal to fantasy enthusiasts and forest lovers alike.

An exhibition that echoes the imagination of Brocéliande

The forest, legends, female figures, the connection between humans and nature… These are all themes that resonate with the world of Brocéliande.

Séverine Pineaux’s creations are a natural extension of the imagination that inhabits this iconic region, offering a contemporary perspective on the tales, mysteries and richness of the living world.

Whether you’re visiting with your family, a fan of fantasy illustration or simply curious, this exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to further your exploration of Brocéliande.

A leading figure in fantasy illustration

A painter, author and illustrator, Séverine Pineaux is one of the leading French figures in the world of fantasy and fairy-tale art. Her work, exhibited both in France and internationally, skilfully blends fantastical realism, mythology and symbolism.

This exhibition marks her return to Brocéliande, the Gate of Secrets, where several of her works have already been displayed as part of previous art projects.
